How Our Poker Nights Work

Professionally hosted, relaxed and inclusive

From the first shuffle to the last hand, our team keeps play structured, welcoming and easy to follow, whether you are a regular at the felt or joining us for the first time.

On the night

Guided by experienced tournament hosts

  • Clear briefings: Every event begins with a concise overview of rules, blind structure and house etiquette.
  • Structured play: Our hosts manage seat draws, blind levels and table balancing so you can focus on your cards.
  • Welcoming tone: Staff are on hand to answer questions discreetly, without interrupting the rhythm of the game.
  • Inclusive space: We encourage a respectful, mixed-experience room where regulars and newcomers can enjoy the same table.

Tournament details, including buy-ins and minimum spend, are outlined clearly before you commit to a seat. There are no surprise fees or hidden conditions.

Social Poker, No Online Play

All poker activities at Theflopand Flame take place exclusively onsite at our physical venue. We do not offer online poker, virtual gambling, remote betting or digital poker accounts.

To participate, you must be present at the club, check in with our host team and comply with identification, age and responsible-gaming checks where required.

A night out, not an online platform

Think of our poker nights as an elevated dinner-and-games experience: tactile chips, real conversation and the buzz of a room that lives completely offline.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers before you take your seat

If you are new to Theflopand Flame, these FAQs explain how to join our poker nights, what to expect and how we keep the room comfortable for every guest.

How do I book a seat for poker night?

You can reserve via our online reservations page or by contacting the venue directly. For most evenings we recommend booking a dining table and adding a note that you would like to join the poker event. Our team will confirm available formats, buy-ins and any minimum spend before finalising your booking.

Make a reservation

Can I play poker without dining?

Yes, you are welcome to join us solely for poker, subject to table availability and any applicable minimum spend for the evening. Many guests choose to enjoy at least a light meal or shared plates during play, and drinks are available throughout the night.

Are buy-ins fixed or variable?

Buy-ins and any associated minimum spends are set per event and communicated clearly in advance. When you enquire or book, our team will explain the format, structure and financial commitment for your chosen night so you can make an informed decision.

Do you offer online poker or remote registration?

No. All poker at Theflopand Flame is strictly in-person at our physical venue. We do not provide online poker, virtual tables, remote gambling accounts or live-betting services. To participate, you must attend the venue on the night.

What if I am running late for a tournament?

Late seating is sometimes possible, depending on the stage of the event and table capacity, but cannot be guaranteed. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the advertised start time so you can check in, settle your bill preferences and meet your host.

How do you support responsible gambling?

Our approach centres on transparency, choice and care. We present all buy-ins and conditions upfront, monitor the room for signs of distress or impaired play, and support any guest who chooses to step away from the game. Where appropriate, we can refer guests to independent support services in line with Australian regulations.

Ready to reserve your next poker night?

Secure a table for your group, align dinner with the first deal and let our team handle the details. Whether you are a regular player or simply curious, we will make sure the night feels effortless.
